💡 Improve Signal Quality:
  • Hold finger completely still to avoid motion drifts.
  • Press very lightly; hard pressure blocks capillary blood flow.
  • Ensure warm fingers (cold restricts capillary circulation).
  • Use a flashlight (or phone flash) behind your finger in dark environments to illuminate capillaries and improve sensor readings.

1. Optical Absorption: With every heartbeat, a fresh wave of oxygenated blood is pumped into your fingertips, swelling the capillaries. This blood surge selectively absorbs more green/blue light while reflecting reddish light, behaving in alignment with the biological probe mapping.

2. Frame-by-Frame Tracking: The app takes the camera feed at 30+ frames per second, isolating a central section of your finger. It averages the exact color values of the pixels on every single frame.

3. Digital Bandpass Filter: Because raw camera feeds contain breathing drifts, muscle movements, and electric light flicker, the signal is routed through a mathematical bandpass filter (0.75 Hz to 3.0 Hz) to extract only the valid cardiac rhythmic signal.

4. Peak Isolation: The system analyses the continuous filtered wave, isolating valid peaks to compute the precise cycle duration and instantaneous beats-per-minute (BPM).
